De nieuwe Yaesu FT-70DE is een compacte en zeer scherp geprijsde YAESU System Fusion-transceiver voor zowel conventioneel analoog FM als de geavanceerde C4FM-digitale modus. De FT-70DE levert tot 5W betrouwbaar zendvermogen en de grote luidspreker aan de voorkant geeft 700 mW luid geluid. Omdat C4FM betere BER-eigenschappen (Bit Error Rate) heeft dan andere digitale modulaties, mag je een uitzonderlijke geluidskwaliteit verwachten. De nieuwe digitale FT-70DE heeft de unieke Automatic Mode Select-functie (AMS). AMS herkent of het ontvangen signaal C4FM-digitaal of analoog FM is en schakelt de ontvanger automatisch en direct naar de juiste modus. Je hoeft dus niet handmatig van modus te wisselen. Met de meerkleurige LED-modusindicator aan de voorkant zie je eenvoudig in welke modus de FT-70DE op dat moment staat. De LED-modusindicator toont de zend-/ontvangstmodus duidelijk zichtbaar door van kleur te veranderen, zodat je de modus van de transceiver in één oogopslag herkent. Een ander onderscheidend kenmerk van de FT-70DE is Digital Group Monitor (GM) met DG-ID (Digital Group Identification) en DP-ID (Digital Personal Identification), nu in de FT-70DE ingebouwd om GM eenvoudiger te maken. Eenvoudig gezegd: transceivers met dezelfde DG-ID of DP-ID kunnen met elkaar communiceren. DG-ID en DP-ID zijn instelbaar tussen 00 en 99, wat veel flexibiliteit biedt, zodat je in GM-modus met vrienden in een groep kunt communiceren, afgestemd op je eigen wensen.

De FT-70DE is gebouwd volgens professionele normen, waaronder IP54 voor bescherming tegen stof en water, waardoor deze radio geschikt is voor gebruik in de zwaarste omstandigheden.

Veelzijdige scanmogelijkheden

Programmable VFO Scan scant alle kanalen in het gewenste frequentiebereik, Memory Scan scant de door de gebruiker gekozen frequenties en met Priority Channel Scan scan je geheugenkanalen terwijl één kanaal
voorrang krijgt. Weather Alert Scan waarschuwt de gebruiker bij naderend zwaar weer.

Automatic Mode Select (AMS)

De Automatic Mode Select-functie herkent de modus van het ontvangen signaal. De transceiver kiest automatisch een van de vier communicatiemodi op basis van het ontvangen signaal. Dit is erg handig bij het uitluisteren, omdat je niet hoeft te weten in welke modus het tegenstation werkt. De transceiver is ook in een vaste communicatiemodus te gebruiken.
